PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The TES-RH Series is ideal for use in hazardous locations where explosive materials may be present. The TES-RH Series is suitable for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D, Zone 2, Groups IIA, IIB + H2 & IIC. The TES-RH is constructed of corrosion-resistant materials, featuring impact resistant, fiberglass reinforced industrial gray housing with stainless steel hardware.

CODE COMPLIANCE

The RH Series meets or exceeds all performance standards as;required by UL 924, NFPA 7O, NFPA 101, NEC and OSHA. Nickel cadmium units additionally UL listed for Class 11, Division 2, Groups F & G applications.

EXTERNAL SPECIFICATIONS

Constructed of impact resistant, fiberglass reinforced polyester. Housing color is gray and includes stainless steel hardware. Housing is approved for NEMA 3, 4, 4x, 12 areas, and in class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C & D, Zone 2, Groups IIA, IIB, H2 & IIC areas. View-through window allows easy monitoring of AC indicator and optional voltmeter and ammeter. Available with Class II, Division 2 rated polycarbonate sealed beam Par 36 tungsten or halogen lamp heads. Optional shatter-resistant shield for lamp heads is designed for use in food service areas.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS

120/277 VAC dual voltage input with surge-protected, solid-state circuitry provides for a reliable charging system. Select units include a temperature-compensated charger. Charging system is complete with low voltage disconnect, AC lockout, brown-out protection, AC indicator lamp and test switch.

BATTERY TECHNOLOGY

Maintenance-free, sealed nickel cadmium battery has an estimated service life of 10 years, and an operating temperature range of 20°F (-7°C) to 95°F (35°C). Maintenance-free, sealed lead calcium battery has an estimated service life of 5 years, and an operating temperature range of 65°F (19°C) to 85°F (30°C). Batteries supply 90 minutes of emergency power.

AUTOMATIC DIAGNOSTIC TESTER

Our ST option conducts automatic and manual tests, and indicates real time status of the lamp, battery and charger via tri-color indicator lamps. Automatic tests include: Systems analysis every 10 seconds, with actual load tests performed for a 3 minute duration every 30 days, and for a 30 minute duration every 180 days. Manual tests include a 3, 30 and 90 minute battery discharge and lamp illumination tests.
