    PRODUCT OVERVIEW

    FEATURES

For use in Class I Division 2 Groups A, B, C and D hazardous locations, the Iron Cross Emergency Lighting Series is designed to prevent ignition of hazardous materials in locations where flammable materials are stored and handled.

    • Each unit comes with two (2) weather - resistant, impact - resistant, flame - retardant thermoplastic EF - 11 lamp heads with 12 watt high intensity sealed beam tungsten lamps (standard).
    • Temperature code: T4A (max. 120 degrees C).
    • Water - and corrosion - resistant cabinet is made of fiberglassreinforced polyester. Industrial gray cabinet is fully gasketed around the cover. Battery compartment is vented with a breather vent designed to permit exhaust of battery gases without admitting external moisture or corrosives.
    • Available with sealed, maintenance - free Lead - Calcium batteries.
    • Fully automatic pulse charger offers 120/277 Vac, 60 Hz., 0.43/0.2 Amp., limited current temperature compensation, short circuit proof, reverse polarity protected, low voltage battery disconnect, brownout protection and standard solid state transfer feature.
    • PAR36 sealed - beam halogen lamps
    • Standard Self - Diagnostic circuitry continuously monitors every critical function of the unit. If a problem occurs, a single fault indicator on the outside of the fixture flashes immediately. A detailed diagnostic display is located internally. The detailed display will further indicate the nature of the fault as either a battery fault, load fault or a charger fault.
    • UL Listed. Complies with NEC, Life Safety Code and OSHA. The test switch and AC pilot light are explosion proof in design and exceed requirements for Class I, Division 2, GroupA, B, C & D.
    • 3 - year full warranty, excluding lamps, pilot lights and fuses.

    SPECIFICATIONS OVERVIEW

The ICIL Series has a 3 - year full warranty. The water and corrosion resistant cabinet is formed from injection molded structural foam, glass reinforced material. The cabinet is fully gasketed around the cover. The test switch and AC pilot light are designed and exceed requirements for Class I, Division 2, Group A, B, C & D. The battery compartment is vented with a breather vent designed to permit exhaust of battery gases without admitting external moisture or corrosives. This design is also suitable for use in Class II Division 2, Group F & G applications. The ICIL Series has a industrial gray finish and two EF11 weather resistant thermoplastic heads each with a 12 watt sealed beam high intensity tungsten lamp mounted on top of the enclosure. The 1 inch conduit entry has a rubber cover to eliminate all exposed metal parts.

A Fully automatic pulse charger offers 120/277 VAC 60 Hz., 0.43/0.2 Amp., limited current temperature compensation, short circuit proof, reverse polarity protected, low voltage battery disconnect and brownout protection.

Diagnostics circuity continuously monitors every critical function of the unit. If a problem occurs, a single fault indicator on the outside of the fixture flashes immediately. A detailed diagnostic display is located internally. The detailed display will further indicate the nature of the fault as either a battery fault, load fault or a charger fault.

The Iron Cross Emergency Lighting system is available in 6 or 12 volt emergency lighting and is designed to be installed in accordance with Article 501 of the National Electrical Code and is UL Listed. The transformer is 120/277 volt. Units are furnished with sealed 6 or 12 volt battery. The unit charger utilizes a micro - controller circuit which samples the battery in relation to its temperature, state of charge and input voltage fluctuations. The charger is current limited, temperature compensated, short - circuit proof and reverse polarity protected. The unit is furnished with an electronic lockout circuit which will connect the battery when the AC circuit is activated, and an electronic brownout circuit which will activate the unit when utility power dips below 80 - 85% of nominal voltage. A low voltage battery protection circuit is provided and will disconnect the load and circuitry from the output circuit when battery reaches 87 - 1/2% discharge. The unit is furnished with one or two protected charger output circuits and a solid state switch. The unit is capable of full recharge in compliance with Underwriters Laboratories specifications.

The unit is furnished complete with a test switch and AC pilot light UL Listed for Class I Division 2 requirements. Cabinet is constructed of Injected molded structural foam, glass reinforced. The unit has a fully gasketed cover. The battery compartment is provided with a breather vent designed for Class I Division 2 operation. The unit is furnished with two EF 11 weather resistant lighting heads. Heads are constructed of impact resistant, flame retardant thermoplastic complete with 12 watt sealed beam high intensity lamps.

Stahlin Vapor Capsules contain a unique vapor phase inhibitor designed to protect metallic surfaces within an enclosure against airborne corrosion. By simply placing these self - contained capsules inside an enclosure the vapors readily permeate every point, passivating all metallic surfaces. When the capsule is removed from its sealed package, it begins to emit an invisible, non - toxic vapor which is diffused throughout the surrounding atmosphere until the air is saturated. The vapor then passivates the metal surfaces against atmospheric corrosion by reducing the electro - chemical activity of the metal surfaces. Radius of Protection is 2 ft with a normal life span of 1 year.
