Basically, you will want to match the voltage and get equal or greater AH number in a battery with the same terminal type and sizing. With the Nickel Cadmium batteries there are many variations of AA 700mAh battery packs. In these situations you will want to count the number of 'cells' or AA batteries bundled and then find the correct shape configuration. The Nickel Cadmium replacement batteries here do not contain the terminals but they do contain 6 inches of wire lead. The reason behind this is so that you can easily snip and splice the old battery connector onto the new battery's wires. Be sure to correctly identify the configuration shape of your battery pack as the exit signs' and emergency lights' housings can be specific to a shape.
